Hum - Yam = Nachiketa, an equation well derived by young minds at Alankrita Workshop

On the vibrant Sunday evening of 23rd July, children aged between 4 to 12 years had an enriching experience at the Alankrita Virtual Workshop, organized by DJVM. The workshop aimed to introduce the young participants to the legendary tale of Nachiketa- the brave seeker of truth and knowledge. The theme of the workshop was Yam (Yamraj) minus Hum (oneself) equals to Nachiketa (an enlightened soul).

The workshop was designed to engage and enlighten the young minds with three interactive and captivating sections. The first section of the workshop commenced with a captivating short movie showcasing the life of Nachiketa. Through this heartwarming presentation, children witnessed the journey of Nachiketa, a young boy with unwavering courage and honesty, as he embarked on a quest to meet Yamaraj, the God of Death. His determination and fearlessness in the face of challenges left a profound impact on the participants, instilling valuable life lessons.

In the second section of the workshop, engaging activities and fun exercises were conducted to help them understand the significance of attentive listening and staying focused. These skills are crucial for learning and personal development, and the young participants were encouraged to practice them in their daily lives.

In the third and final section, the workshop delved deeper into the story of Nachiketa and the profound philosophical teachings hidden within his journey. Swami Pradeepanand Ji, Preacher DJJS with his enlightening oration informed participants about Nachiketa's unwavering pursuit of truth and his quest for attaining "Brahmgyan" or divine knowledge. Through discussions and interactive sessions, the children explored the essence of truth, righteousness, and the path of self-discovery, inspiring them to apply these teachings in their own lives.
